Prasadam at Tirupati Balaji - Tirupati Balaji located in the Tirumala hills of Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh is not a new name to anyone. It is dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. This temple is considered the richest temple in the world, and is the most visited religious place/place of worship in the world. It attracts devotees not just for a glimpse of the 8 feet tall main idol or tonsuring of the head, but also for its world famous Ladoo, distributed as prasadam which even possesses a GI tag (Geographical Indication). Free meals are given daily to the pilgrims and the Prasadam consists of many delicacies like the daddojanam (curd rice), puliohora (tamarind rice), vada and chakkera-pongali (sweet pongal), miryala-pongali, Appam, Paayasam, Jilebi, Muruku, Dosa, seera (kesari) and Malhora.
