The Exotic Apple Walnut Salad -Remember that old saying An Apple a day keeps a doctor away, that was mainly said because the humble apple does a wonderful job of supplying nutrition to the human body. Apples are rich in iron, which is very important in building stamina. They boost the immune system and contain soluble fibres, vitamins and anti oxidants. Combine this fruit with the wonderful walnuts that are high on anti-inflammatory omega-3 essential fatty acids, rich in anti oxidants and are also a great source of manganese and copper. Take 1 Apple and cut into small slices. Place in a salad bowl.Add 10 – 12 walnuts chopped, 5 – 6 leaves of Iceberg Lettuce & bring all the ingredients together. For the dressing – combine some olive oil with salt, pepper, mustard paste, wine vinegar and honey. Drizzle this over the combined ingredients and gently mix all together. A cooling yummy salad is ready.
