Hare Rama Hare Krishna -The iconic 70’s film, influenced by the Hare Rama Hare Krishna Movement, revolves around a brother’s search for his rebel sister through the picturesque hills of Nepal. The film catapulted Zeenat Aman, who played the role of the sister, into stardom. Loosely based on the 1968 film, Psych-Out, in Hare Rama Hare Krishna, Dev Anand finds his sister leading a hippie life, under the influence of drugs. The cult song, ‘Dum Maro Dum’, openly shows the characters and protagonist smoking cannabis.
